Due to forecasted high temperatures, Bryan Municipal Utilities has received a notification to reduce local electric loads today from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. (Friday, July 28, 2023), to avoid additional capacity and transmission charges from PJM and AEP, respectfully.
We request your assistance in reducing peak electric demands from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. today in your areas or before you leave for the day. If you can simply turn off any unnecessary lights, air compressors, computers, or other electric-powered equipment, or set cooling thermostats to the highest comfortable temperature, it will also help.
