Bryan Municipal Utilities is accepting applications for a line worker from apprentice level to journey level. This position engages in any of the work of electric overhead and underground construction, maintenance and repair of electric transmission and distribution equipment and lines which may be energized.
Candidate must possess a high school diploma; valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class ‘A’ with an air brake endorsement within 6 months of employment; ability to climb poles and work from heights in excess of 70 feet high; and have a practical knowledge of electric systems. Preferred candidate will have completed an apprenticeship program or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
