The Bryan Board of Public Affairs announces the promotion of, Nathan Gardner, to Director of Utilities for Bryan Municipal Utilities. Gardner graduated from Northwest State Community College with a Mechanical Engineering degree.  In addition, he possesses a State of Ohio Environment Protection Agency (OEPA) Class III Water certification.  Gardner has over 18 years of professional experience in the utility industry.  He has advanced his career at BMU as part of the Management team, starting as an Engineering Assistant, moving to the Water Supervisor role where he was over treatment and distribution, then on to Engineering Supervisor.  His most recent role as Engineering Supervisor has afforded Gardner the opportunity to assist all departments in planning and overseeing of capital and maintenance projects.  He has also worked with various city, county, and state departments.

 

Gardner has lived in Bryan for over 30 years with his wife of 32 years, Janice.  They have two sons and six grandchildren.  Gardner is excited about this opportunity and looks forward to continuing the forward-thinking processes that have allowed Bryan Municipal Utilities to support Bryan residents for well over 100 years.  BMU provides a unique utilities system to Bryan residents by offering Communications, Electric, Power Plant, and Water departments.  Gardner is looking forward to actively participating in his role to ensure the success of the future of Bryan.
