Lineworker

Bryan Municipal Utilities is accepting applications for a Lineworker position. This position requires a high-level of knowledge, skills and experience in constructing, operating and maintaining overhead and underground transmission and distribution systems. It also requires working with high voltages and climbing and working off poles up to 65 feet high as well as operating line trucks, bucket trucks, trenchers and other related equipment.

Preferred candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalency and will have completed a recognized apprenticeship program. Equivalent work experience as a lineworker journeyman is acceptable. Candidate must have considerable knowledge of electrical theory, underground electrical systems and equipment. Must have mechanical aptitude and have or obtain a class A CDL with airbrake endorsement within 60 days of hire.
